Recently, Breitling’s Avengers series has received an important update. In particular, the flagship Avengers chronograph has not only changed in terms of case size, case material and movement, but also maintained its consistent conscience price and excellent cost performance.
I have seen the new Breitling Avenger chronograph. In addition to the steel shell model, the new Avenger has added a ceramic shell model “Night Mission”, which was not available in the old model. The new ceramic case Avenger chronograph includes two dials, the details are as follows:

Big changes in watch faces
This time, the newly launched Avengers Chronograph “Night Mission” style shows two very attractive disks, one is a bright yellow disk, and the other is a unique carbon fiber disk.
The yellow dial has always been a classic choice in the Breitling Avengers series, especially known as the “Yellow Wolf”, so it is not surprising to choose a yellow dial this time. However, the newly added carbon fiber disc gives people a completely new look. Among Breitling watches of the same level, carbon fiber disks are quite rare. Judging from the texture of the carbon fiber disk, it can be inferred that Breitling uses carbon fiber wire harnesses, mixes them with epoxy resin, and then performs exquisite forging. The carbon fiber dial mainly plays a decorative role in this Avenger chronograph. At the same time, in details, a record pattern decoration is added to the small chronograph dial.
In the new Avengers chronograph series, the ceramic case “Night Mission” style still uses digital time scales, while the steel case model chooses linear time scales, showing a differentiated design style.
The previous old Avengers timepieces usually used a 6 o’clock, 9 o’clock, and 12 o’clock layout for their small counters. This is mainly because most of the old Avengers chronographs used universal movements (ETA7750). Nowadays, the new Avengers chronograph has been upgraded to use the B01 chronograph movement developed by Breitling, which has resulted in the disk layout correspondingly changing to an arrangement of 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock, and 9 o’clock, while placing the calendar at 6 o’clock. Changes in disk layout are determined by the design of the movement.
New ceramic case replaces old blackened case
In the past, the Avengers Chrono “Night Mission” watches were all black watches, but the older model had a titanium case plated black. There is a problem with black-plated watch cases, DLC black-plating or PVD black-plating. Once the watch is bumped, the black coating will be chipped and peeled off, exposing the underlying metal. It is not only unsightly, but also difficult to repair. Therefore, many famous watches, especially high-end copy watches, have gradually given up black plating.
In addition to the ceramic case and bezel, the crown, timing buttons, and watch bottom cover are all made of titanium. In the past, the old Avengers Chronograph had a solid bottom cover, but the new Avengers Chronograph finally has a see-through bottom. Moreover, it still maintains 300 meters of water resistance, which is comparable to professional diving duplicate timepieces such as Submariner, 50 Fathoms, and Seamaster.
The new Avengers chronograph is completely replaced with Breitling’s own movement.
The new generation of Breitling Avenger chronograph, whether it is a steel shell or a ceramic shell, now all uses the B01 automatic chronograph movement developed by Breitling. Compared with the previous old Avengers chronographs, although some models use B01 movement, most still use universal movement (ETA7750). In the new generation of Avengers chronographs, all self-produced movements are used, and the operation of the movement can be clearly observed through the transparent bottom cover. The configuration of the entire series has been comprehensively improved.
The B01 movement is 30 mm in size and 7.2 mm thick. It uses a combination of cylindrical wheel and vertical clutch technology. The vertical clutch and chronograph seconds wheel are integrated in the center of the movement and are separated from the travel seconds wheel. The movement has a swing frequency of 28,800 times per hour, a power of 70 hours, and is certified by the Observatory. The daily error is -4/+6 seconds. The B01 movement used in the Avengers chronograph is mainly polished by large-area brushing and sandblasting. Objectively speaking, the movement decoration is simpler than that of Breitlings such as aviation chronograph, mechanical chronograph, and Preya. Of course, the overall price of the Avengers chronograph is lower than the previous Breitlings. Plus the “military combat” style of the Avengers is great!
